Stitching, knitting, reading, life…whatever catches my eye
July 14th, 2009 by Annette

I started a scarf for a friend this week.

This shows the stitch definition a little better.

The pattern is the Yarn Harlot’s One Row Handspun Scarf.   The yarn is fingering weight rather than the worsted called out.  I’m still using 5mm (8) needles to give it a more lacey appearance.  It’s soft and lovely and I think my friend will love it 🙂

Christine is using the same pattern with worsted yarn.  Amazing how different it looks!   I might have to do a worsted version after this one.

And because it was in the camera…..

It’s Ms. K eyeing me……

It’s so pretty! Love the color you selected.

  3. That is very pretty. I’ve been meaning to try that pattern myself.

And, is that Dinky-Dyes yarn? It is difficult to see the label. I had no idea they dyed yarn!

  4. Dinky Dyes makes yarn? Who knew? Love how your scarf is turning out…definitely a difference between fingering and worsted weight!

  5. Lovely! Ms. K looks thrilled.

  6. Adore the scarf colors! Love to see what you gals who play with the big needles do. 🙂

  7. Beautiful! It will be a lovely gift! I love the color of the yarn and would be interested to know if it is dinky dye yarn?
