Stitching, knitting, reading, life…whatever catches my eye
September 17th, 2009 by Annette

I started the Darkyn series by Lynn Viehl in March of this year and happily read thru all of the books, getting terribly attached to a few of the characters (Robin & Scarlet are definitely the top of that list).

I was sad when I finished the last book…it ended too early.

Now Ms. Viehl has started a new series in the Darkyn world with Shadowlight and I’m happy to say that while the focus of the stories are all new characters (not surprisingly) there are a few familiar faces in there, too. It was comfortable enough that I was familiar with the world, but with a new perspective and new twists on the Kyndred.

I love this world, these characters and this series and Shadowlight is a very satisfying installment.

  1. I dip in and out of this series. In fact I just picked up a copy of Stay The Night today. And I still have an earlier book in the TBR stacks.

  2. Oh…thanks for the tip! I’ve not heard of these books. I’m going right now to the Sony Sight and audible to see what is available from her in ebooks or audiobooks. Thanks!
I have a tip for you…have you read any of Karen Marie Moning’s Fae Series Books? Darkfever, Bloodfever…I can’t remember all the names, but there are 4 books out presently. I love them, I’m the third one.
