I’m on vacation this week! w00t!!
Not going anywhere beyond the Phoenix city limits… just not working 🙂
Here’s my to-do list for the week:
- Visit the Apple Store to have them fix my iPod (battery life is horrible – I suspect a new battery will be involved). That’s scheduled for this morning.
- Visit a local quilt shop to see about fabric for the reindeer runner I bought in Houston
- Clear out my stitching corner
- See New Moon (on Friday)
- Put up Christmas tree (on Friday)
- Finish Echo in the Bone – I’ve got about 200 pages left. I’ve been reading very sloowly on purpose. It’ll be forever until the next book!
- Finish baby afghan (it’s about halfway)
- Finish Rachel’s Mirabilia RR (and mail) – Queen Mermaid. Pic below
- Finish L*K’s Halloween Flip-Its. Just two more words and border to finish! Pic below
- Move blog/website to new hosting company (Note: blog will be at http://www.annettesacre.com directly)
- Work up Christmas lists and get shopping started
- Celebrate my anniversary (12 years on Friday)
- Mail off the BDB Bookmark winner…. Tracy!!
Rachel’s Queen Mermaid start:
The fabric is a beautiful blue/purple evenweave. Not the grey muddy mess seen here.
Halloween Flip-it Piece:
On platinum Belfast. I’ve learned one important thing on this piece. I’ll be doing the Christmas version in all DMC. I have a growing dislike for Weeks floss. It’s been nothing but trouble here… breaking, knotting, tangling. Ugh. Thankfully I’m using black & white Anchor for the border or you’d hear me cursing across the world.
Your anniversary is on Friday. Ours is Saturday 12 years also!
Halloween is looking fab. I can only see the variegation in 3 places, so all DMC should look good too.
Yup, next mailing is the 7th. I keep repeating it so I don’t forget. lol
Have a nice vacation! I don’t get a single day off this week. Ok, I only work 2 days – but still.
Early Happy Anniversary wishes! I’ve heard a lot of folks lately complain about Weeks. Halloween is awesome, though!
I hope you get everything on your list accomplished. However, know that I will be insanely jealous of your productivity.
a week’s vacation…oh, so jealous! I hope you enjoy the time off. Love the progress on your Boo Club!
Ok, I’m tired just reading your vacation to do list. 😛 Happy early anniversary! Your Halloween flip is looking awesome. I really need to work on mine some more. I’m still way back on chart 2. 😛
Congratulations on the bookmark win, Tracy!! We’ll have to make sure we don’t get them confused when we’re on vacay together in SF in three weeks. LOL
Annette-while it’s frustrating for you I’m kind of relieved that you are having trouble with the WDWs. I thought it was just me. The last few projects I’ve stitched that used those threads it felt like I spent more time unknotting knots than I did stitching. I couldn’t figure out what I was doing different but I didn’t enjoy stitching with WDWs as much as I used to.
Enjoy your vacation! And Happy Thanksgiving!
