With the finish of Summer Queen (woot!!!), I will now officially acknowledge the new year.
Well, at least as far as my stitching goes 😉
Much like 2010, I’m wiping the slate clean for projects. If I haven’t worked on it, it’s not a WIP for the year!
Towards the end of 2010, I did some major sorting/organizing of The Stash. As such, I found some a few more WIPs than I care to admit to here. As such, this year’s goal will be very simple:
- At the end of 2011, be able to fit all projects in progress in a single box.
The box in question is a 66-qt plastic container, so we’re not talking anything crazy like a shoebox. And I will not cheat and buy a larger container, I promise. Right now there are a half dozen that are hanging out nearby and that doesn’t include the newly started Spring Queen.Â
I’ve also created a new box over on the right –> to keep track of the year’s WIPs and finishes.
That’s it! Keeping it simple and straight-forward this year. In the spirit of a Guideline rather than a hard and fast target 😉
Good plans…This is the first year that I will be tracking what I do..because of the Crazy Challenge…usually, I just do and really never have anything unfinished. Hopefully all that I am doing and the one WIP that is sitting until I can squeeze it in will be complete by the end of the year.
I think that’s how my resolutions are this year — if I make them too hard-and-fast, then when I break them, I quit. So mine are more goals, and the longer I keep them, the more motivated I will be to continue!
Great idea for your guidelines. I like the idea of wiping the slate clean. I also like the idea of getting your WIPs down to one container. That’s do-able!
lol! 66-qt box! You nearly had me there… Oh, wait… I can’t do that either. Hmmm… maybe you have a good plan with this. Shame that I’ve already set my 2011 stitching goals, and finishing old projects wasn’t part of any of them. 😛
