Meet B(l)oo

Meet my Boo Bat. I call him Bloo.

(Click for a larger pic)

I spotted this pattern on a blog this week and I couldn’t help but make him up. He was just an afternoon worth of knitting and an overnight blocking for his wings.

Shhh…Bloo is sleeping:

I *knew* I’d find a good use for that button!

Both kids have requested their own…. Gold/Black and Blue/Black combinations 🙂

  2. B(l)oo is so cute – I think I’m going to have to make one of my own :o)

  3. Love the bat, lol! Your framed pieces are also lovely, congrats.

  4. Sooooo cute!

  5. Love Boo Bloo – he is hilarious!!!!

  6. Ooh, I love him!! Even though we don’t ‘do’ Halloween I could be very tempted – and he’d go nicely with the protected colony of rare bats we have near us…..:)

  7. Aww, I want one too! Must learn to knit!

  8. He’s adorable!! Can my kid request one, too? 🙂

  9. He’s fantastic! Look forward to seeing the brood growing! LOL

He is so cute, Annette. I may make one of my own one day.

  11. Annette that is so cute! I saw him for the first time last week and inspite of the fact I have no idea how to knit (I don’t even own any knitting needles) I almost bought the pattern. I settled for bookmarking the site.

Is he hard to do? I have a local knitting shop… maybe they could help a beginner with this if it isn’t too hard?

  12. That is so cute! What a neat idea – I’m always surprised at all the inventive non-clothing knitting projects.

  13. Too cute 🙂

Oh my goodness! That is the cutest little bat I have ever seen! I wish I was more practicesd at knitting, I want to make one of those!

  15. Darling! (Ah…never thought I’d say that about a BAT!!)

  16. Oh, too cute!

  17. OMG that is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen! I’m not letting DS see this, because he would be begging for one!! I haven’t branching much into either crocheting or knitting; I’ve tried crocheting and I’m SO painfully slow that I was really discouraged. I am really tempted to have a go at other crafts again, though, after seeing this!

  18. That is freaking *awesome!*

  19. B(l)oo is awesome. That’s the cutes bat ever!!! I love it! 🙂

  20. This is so cute! And the button is perfect.
I’m really tempted to buy the pattern.

  21. Too cute! Thanks for sharing.

  22. Annette! That is so cute and is even more wonderful in person. It was great to meet you at Celebration and look forward to the next time.

  23. How sweet is that little bat? I n-e-e-d one! Now who can I persuade to knit one for me? My hands don’t allow me to knit any more as I have multiple trigger finger.
