Acre Weather Report: It's Pouring

In the fine tradition of “When it rains, it pours” I found a crack in my windshield yesterday.

My car is so new, that there is *no* replacement available in the US.  It’ll be 2-4 weeks.  On the up side, I *should* be able to return to riding the van for the next couple weeks so I won’t risk a long commute and make it worse.

On a positive note, I received a gorgeous mattress pincushion exchange yesterday (I always forget I’m getting something back when I send….)

I also ran across this yesterday on Melissa’s blog…and fell deeply in love:

New Mirabilia – Bluebeard’s Princess.  I ordered chart and Waterlillies (4) from Drema.  I’m thinking I have another DaVinci mermaid here 😀  We’ll see what the floss toss shows.

And then while I was poking around Needlecraft Corner, I saw that this is now shipping:

I signed up for automatic weeks ago.  I cannot express the pure joy this brings to my heart.  It has a palm tree *and* a saguaro cactus!!!

Must. Stitch. Faster.!!!

(Thanks for the suggestions for Mom’s perle.  Lindsay, I’ll email ya)

  1. I know. I love the mermaid and Sea to Shining Sea. Too bad I’m not stitching at all right now. I nearly ordered the mermaid, but emptied my shopping cart. I cannot justify buying it when I won’t even have time to start it until next summer because of school. Bummer.

  2. I fell in love with Sea to Shining Sea as well. I also pre-ordered from Drema a few weeks back, so I can’t wait for the first shipment to get here! 😀

    Sorry about your windshield. 🙁

Oh man, I can’t believe that crack. What a huge bummer!

I too am in love with Bluebeard’s Princess. I can’t wait to see some WIPS.

Bummer about the crack. Why can’t those car people have a stash of extra parts at the ready for times like these? I guess that would be a danting task for all the cars that are sold here!
I love, love, love that mermaid! I wish I had been a good girl and kept up on all my stitching, now I don’t get to get that one. Hopefully , I will get the urge back enough to finish up this years worth of stitching I have standing by!
I love that Sea to Shining Sea as well, it’s very cute.

  5. Sorry about the windshield. Sounds like you had a rough week around there. I hope you get a chance to relax and unwind this weekend. 🙂

  6. Awwww, I’m sorry about your windshield… I hope it won’t take too long to fix. That’s a lovely pinkeep you received, kudos to the maker.
