Twenty Pounds

This weekend my Weight Watchers journey took me beyond the 20 lb marker.

I have to say, I am still a bit incredulous that this is going so well and has been relatively simple to follow.  There are definitely indications of more challenge ahead, though, as my daily point totals continue to drop with the weight and I’m closer to using them all up on a daily basis 😉

These last two weeks have seen some remarkable change in my house with new floors, new baseboards (today) and at least two more days of work done in the house this week planned.  I was without a kitchen to cook in for most of last week as much of my office and bedroom was stacked on counters so it was another expensive week of eating out (both in points and dollars).

I’ve fallen into a simple rhythm.  I am diligent and conservative with points during the week.  I pack my breakfast and lunch each day for work and then eat lighter at home in the evening.  The weekends I tend to relax a bit and dip into the weekly points if I need to (don’t always need to, just depends on what’s going on).  As Sunday is my weigh-in day, it makes for a realistic scale result – I’m not starving for three or four days before and over-indulging after the scale does its thing 😉

My husband says he can see the difference.  Several coworkers have also commented.  My clothes are looser, but I don’t see much change in the mirror…. yet.

  1. Whoo-hoo! Congratulations! Go you and keep up the good work.

  2. Congratulations!! I am very proud of you!! 🙂

  3. I am so thrilled for you! That’s a great result. Hope it keeps you motivated. Other people, especially those who don’t see you daily, are more likely to notice changes. We are always the last to see the changes in ourselves. I think it’s because we tend to “overlay” our self-image when we look in the mirror. I hope I recognize you when next I see (much less) of you! Hahaha!

  4. Awesome! I’m glad it’s working well for you!!

  5. Woohoo! Congrats!

  6. congrats 😀
