Theme-a-licious: March Wrapup and April Plans

Wow.. March just FLEW by! Of course, I had a TON of stuff going on during the month, so I’m sure that had a little to do with it as well.

Lovely new ceiling fans were installed…. (Hunter Fans – Stratford style)

New tile floors and new baseboards along with freshly painted walls (the walls are a very pale mint green here… trust me)

In all this madness (see? Theme reference!) I did find time to get a few hours in and even finished off the Mill Hill piece! Can you guess what WIP I took this crap-tastic photo of yesterday?  Tilt your head a bit to the left… it may help.  Or not.

If you said Ink Circles’ Masquerade, you would be spot on! I’m sure Tracy is cringing at this truly horrid WIP shot. Please forgive me… glamour shots after the next rotation slot, I *swear*.

So what are the plans for Amazon April?  Now that I’ve finished off three WIPs from my WIPocalypse list, I’m left with a good bit of time between now and the next finish.  Hey, I got the low-hanging fruit done for the most part, what can I say?

I’ve got one slot left in the current rotation round (L’Epoch Nouveau, not a small piece itself) and then I’ll be adding Spring Queen and Greek Mandala (a true Amazon piece!) in for my third trip down the WIPocalypse List this year.

This week, though, I’m traveling for work and I’ll be taking knitting with me for what I expect will be very few needle opportunities.  Three days of all day meetings, three dinner meetings and two full days of traveling will make for a less-than-productive stitcher, I’m afraid.  At least I’ve got a good pair of socks on the needles to keep me company 🙂

  1. Love seeing the tile and freshly painted walls. However, I have a complaint! Your shot is not angled so that I can see the stitching on the wall. It’s just a teaser shot. I’m sure they are finishes you’ve shared before, but there is nothing quite like an “action” shot of stitching in it’s permanent abode. 🙂

Like the ceiling fan style quite a lot. Hunter fans are wonderful and quite durable. I hope you are happy with them for a long time.

  2. You did have a lot going on! I recognized the piece, although I said something more like, “OH! That’s that thing! With the Halloween moon…and, and CATS!” Yeah. Another bad day at work. Can’t wait for the progress pics for Amazon April…they sound like they’re going to be gooooood. =)

House madness AND fiber madness, are you trying to make the rest of us look bad? Seriously, it all looks fab and your plans for April sound like fun as well. Can’t wait to see.

  4. You did have a lot going on! And looks like you’re making great progress on your WIP too. Excited to see more good stuff in April!

  5. First of all, when I saw the glass on your TW project on the previous post my heart stopped because at first glance I thought that was a grape slushy on your needlework! You can thank the small screen on my iPhone for freaking me out! LOL! Masquerade looks great along with the new tile floors! Yay for home projects!
