Decisions…decisions…

My next new start will be Sunflower Fairy by Mirabilia.  This is my buddy Mel’s finished one: Sunflower Fairy.

After digging around in the stash, I found two candidate pieces of fabric for my fairy.  Which do you prefer?

Picture this Plus:  Pampas

Picture this Plus:  Dubloon

Thoughts?

Edited to add:  The floss is Valdani…. and yes, I know you can buy it in skeins now, but at the time I got this (when the design first came out) this was what was readily available! LOL

  1. Dubloon. It’s warmer and fits better with the warm thread colors.

You can take a look at my finished pics, too, if it helps. Here’s the full one -> http://www.jennamagee.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=22654

I like the Dubloon too… what’s with the balls of DMC?

  3. Great minds! I am doing the same thing right now! LOL. So, having the Valdani threads in my hot little hands at the moment, I will be the contrarian voice and say Pampas. I thought seriously about a green, but didn’t have a suitable color in my stash. I am either going with a blue fabric (think bright summer sky) or an old cut of Silkweaver’s Days Gone By. I think the Pampas would really make the yellow/gold tones pop.

  4. Congratulations on the weight loss! I just joined WW online and need all the inspiration I can get!

    I am thinking Doubloon also.

  5. I would go with the Dubloon! I can’t wait to see yours. I’m hoping to start her soon, and I’m still searching for the right fabric too.

  6. I’m going with Pampas. There’d be more contrast.

  7. I like the Dubloon, but think she would pop more on the Pampas!

  8. Dubloon.

  9. I really want to like Pampas better, but I think the colors stand out better on Dubloon. MAJOR CONGRATS ON THE JOB FOR DH!!! NOT TO MENTION THE WEIGHT LOSS!!!! =)

  10. I think the Pampas will make her stand out more 🙂
