101 Things

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Candidate items:

  • Average 8 blog posts/month over the 1001 days
  • Average 6 books/month over the 1001 days
  • Use two new-to-me finishing techniques each year (6 total)
  • Create four new finishing tutorials
  • Read five classic novels (as defined by Easton volumes received)
  • Finish one game on each gaming platform (PS3, Xbox360, DS, PSP)
  • Finish Lego Batman on PSP and Xbox360
  • Finish Lego Indiana Jones (PS3)
  • Win as each civilization on Civilization Revolution (DS)
  • Finish Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney (DS) 
  • Weigh less on day 1001 as I do on day 1
  • Convert http://www.annettesacre.com to full WordPress format
  • Play a video game with my kids at least once each month
  • Create a “master” grocery list
  • Acquire a food processor
  • Have new floors installed in the whole house
  • Have house painted – inside and out
  • Go one week without soda
  • Buy a new bedspread and matching curtains
  • Buy a set of wine glasses
  • Use the china that’s gathering dust in my pantry

34- Call Granny at least once per week – Doing well on this one

37 – Update Contacts list in my PDA and cell phone (all “common” numbers should be one place or the other) - Had to when I got a new cell phone!
38 – Acquire 5 new “presentation-worthy” wardrobe items
39 – Post non-stitching pictures on my blog once a month for a year (12 total)

Stitching
40 – Finish a Pi Shawl
41 – Finish Stroke of Midnight
42 – Finish a Chatelaine Mandala Garden (big one)
43 – Frame a large stitched piece myself
44 – Learn two new finishing techniques (for small projects) each year – This year is covered!
45 – Knit myself a pair of socks (that fit!)
46 – Finish all my stitched Christmas Ornaments
47 – Inventory my chart stash
48 – Inventory my fabric stash
49 – Try my hand at dying floss
50 – Finish TW’s Wedding Sampler for my 10th Anniversary

59 – Try a new recipe at least twice each month
